Encounter Leaders

Encounters, Music@Menlo’s signature series of evening-length events led by an elite group of today’s renowned musical authorities, illuminate the essence of the festival’s music through insightful discussion. Over the festival’s first nine seasons, the scope of the Encounters series has greatly expanded to encompass not only the historical context in which the music of the festival’s concert series was created but also the sweeping social, cultural, and technological trends that have shaped classical music at large.
