Music@Menlo’s Tenth-Anniversary Season came to a stunning conclusion on Saturday with a marathon day of three performances, featuring the Young Performers, International Program artists, and senior musicians. The day began with the final Koret Young Performers Concert of the season—all of the Young Performers performed beautifully in front of a full audience at the Center for Performing Arts at Menlo-Atherton. The day continued with the final Prelude Performance of the season, featuring works of Mozart and Bartók, performed by all the artists of the Chamber Music Institute’s International Program. The celebratory day concluded with Concert Program VIII: Delighted, and was followed by a dinner at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Area.
Though it is bittersweet to bid adieu to the festival for another year, we will be sustained in the coming months by the spectacular moments and memories that made this milestone season so special. The Tenth-Anniversary Season could not have come to fruition without the remarkable effort of Music@Menlo’s incredible artists, Chamber Music Institute participants, interns, staff, and the festival’s community of concertgoers and patrons who have steadfastly supported the festival since its inception. Thank you! We look forward to seeing you at Music@Menlo’s Winter Series concerts, the first of which features the Miró Quartet (September 30, 2012).
