Music@Menlo’s Prelude Performances and Koret Young Performers Concerts have proven to be among the festival’s most beloved events throughout the first five seasons. These outstanding pre-concert recitals, given by the promising young artists of the Chamber Music Institute, have garnered enthusiastic acclaim from both audiences and critics. San Francisco Classical Voice has hailed the artists of the Chamber Music Institute as “musicians you will want to hear repeatedly in coming years.” Prelude Performances and Koret Young Performers Concerts are free and open to the public, offering an ideal setting for new listeners to discover great music and join in the festival experience.
NEW THIS YEAR: Due to overwhelming demand, a free seat pass is now required for Prelude Performances and Koret Young Performers Concerts at Stent Family Hall and Martin Family Hall. One seat pass per person can be requested at the will call table starting one hour prior to the start of the performance. Seat passes cannot be reserved in advance, and seating is by general admission.
Prelude Performances feature students of the Institute’s top-tier International Program for advanced and pre-professional artists.
Koret Young Performers Concerts are given by students in the Young Performers Program, of ages eight to eighteen.
