Ayoun Alexandra Kim, cello

Cellist Ayoun Alexandra Kim, renowned for her vibrant performances, has garnered acclaim in both chamber music and solo endeavors. Standout performances include her collaboration with the Telegraph Quartet for the Fanny Mendelssohn String Quartet performance at the Rossmoor Creek Chamber Music Society’s 2024 season concert. She has shared the stage with esteemed musicians like Inon Barnatan and Melissa White for the 2023 Chamber Music Tuesday series.

Kim’s musicality has been recognized in competitions such as the Yamaha Young Performing Artist Competition, Artist Presentation Society Competition, and the Musicians Club of Women Competition in 2022. She was invited to perform at esteemed music festivals worldwide, including the Norfolk Music Festival, Sarasota Music Festival, Kneisel Hall, and Sommerakademie Mozarteum. She demonstrated her versatility as principal cellist in the 2023 Spoleto Festival Orchestra.

Kim attended the Juilliard School, where she obtained Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees under the guidance of Natasha Brofsky and Astrid Schween. She is pursuing her Artist Diploma at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under the mentorship of Jennifer Culp.
