2012: Resonance

To mark Music@Menlo’s tenth anniversary, the 2012 festival season celebrated the many ways in which music resonates with humanity. In the festival’s signature fashion, the 2012 season presented a broad range of music in innovative and illuminating contexts. Anchored by the chamber music repertoire’s most essential voices from Bach to Bartók, the season also featured works by great composers never before heard at Menlo, such as Wagner, Mahler, and Johann Strauss, and complemented these with pieces by such modern masters as Bernard Herrmann, Paul Schoenfield, Chen Yi, and more.
